In Honor Of Women's History Month...

We Interviewed the Women at Sana Health.

At Sana Health we are proud to acknowledge the incredible women that fill 12 out of the 23 positions within our company. Cheers to all the women who have made an impact in this exciting industry.

Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Day?

“It is important to celebrate women's contributions to society and the positive impact they have on the world.”

”Women have come so far and yet still not enough regarding inclusion and equality for women's rights, and for women in general. It's important to take a moment to reflect on the adversity that women face in society while celebrating the advances that women have made in every aspect of our society.”

”To provide a platform to celebrate women as well as shine a light on any issues affecting women around the world. To provide a day specifically for unifying all women.”

Based on your own experience, what advice would you give to women considering pursuing a career in the Med Device/Health Tech field?

“Don't be afraid to go after your goals. Ask lots of questions, no question is dumb. Never apologize, unless you are wrong.”

”Go for it! Especially in these spaces that are highly male-dominated. Go in and make your presence felt and appreciated because your voice, opinion, perspective, and knowledge matter!”

”Don’t back down from showing who you are, your tenacity, and determination. The industry welcomes women equally and there is now a shining light on the women who advance the industry at every corporate level. Be strong, be confident, and show them what you are made of!”

How do you feel Sana is making an impact on women’s lives? Not only by offering career opportunities but also through clinical trials, etc?

I feel that it is an equal opportunity workplace in terms of men vs women, this is important and not always the case with other companies. We also provide a device that helps with multiple areas affecting women's physical and mental health.”

”Women make up 85% of the population suffering from fibromyalgia. By focusing our Mighty trial on fibromyalgia Sana is working to improve the lives of many women!”

”I once made a comment to a male colleague that I was impressed & proud of the fact that we hire so many women. His immediate response was, "We hire the most qualified individuals." That spoke volumes to me that Sana looks at any position as a position that could be held by both men and women, especially in a male-dominated industry.”

Which powerful women do you admire most? Why?

Tasha Bond! Started and grew her own Med Device company, at the same time became our COO, got the amazing opportunity to sell her company and take over as President of ERI, all while still guiding and mentoring both previous teams and still balances having an amazing family!”

”My Maw Maw, Wanda, is my biggest inspiration. She taught me that it doesn't matter what you are doing in life as long as you are enjoying it and doing it well. She was a homemaker on my grandparent's farm. They spent many years on the road pipelining and she loved every moment of it. Some of her last words to me were that she was so proud of me for working, raising a family and still finding the time to do it all well.”

”I really admire my peers within this industry. I am surrounded by many smart, professional, fun, and kind gals who inspire me. ”

We have come a long way in regards to women’s rights, in what areas would you like to continue to see growth for women everywhere?

“Would like for women's history to continue to be celebrated. Women are so strong, talented, and resilient. I want our future generations to embrace their strengths and know their worth. This can only continue if we as a society, acknowledge the past and work to improve the future.”

”It would be nice for equal paid family leave for both parents to be the standard, and more women lead businesses.”

”Women being compensated equally as men in similar roles and more female representation in leadership and in spaces where decisions on women's rights are being made!”

Thank you to all the women at Sana Health and to all the women who submitted to this interview!
